1～20英语序数词为first，second，third，fourth，fifth，sixth，seventh，eighth，ninth，tenth，eleventh，twelfth，thirteenth，fourteenth，fifteenth，sixteenth，seventeenth，eighteenth，nineteenth，twentieth。
序数词在汉语中表示为“第几”。此外，在生日中，描述出生的日期时，也会用到序数词。比如：May-first（5月1日）；在英语学习中，常常需要区分基数词和序数词。
句法功能
序数词在句中可作主语、宾语、定语、表语、同位语与状语。
1、The first is better than the second.
第一个比第二个要好。（作主语）
2、She chose the second.
她选择了第二个。（作宾语）
3、The second term begins in January.
第二学期从一月份开始。（作定语）
4、I am the third in our class.
我是我们班的第三名。（作表语）
5、John, the first, is here.
