该片主要讲述了亿万年前，八个天神内斗不止，被打落凡间。亿万年后，他们在尘世经历苦难，学会团结，造福世人，终于尽洗罪孽。
万年前，八个天神因争斗不息，不懂团结被贬入凡间，有朝一日他们互相理解，和谐相处才能重返天庭。
万年后，港女钟晓明与鬼马老爸阿B被莫名追债，无奈从香港逃到广州找不靠谱的后妈嘉嘉了解内情。原来她骗人定金要办不可能实现的演唱会，因无法兑现，被老板周董列入黑名单。父女二人落跑之际，机缘邂逅各色“时尚达人”，超级影迷司机温奇，离家出走的富家女严成玉和家佣小兵，落魄包子摊摊主大雄依次现身，一起展开了一段“惊天地、泣鬼神”，笑料百出的都市奇缘。
正当四大天团演唱会准备如期举行的时候，但随着周董等人的神秘失踪，第八个天神夜叉终于现身，世界面临毁灭。
