One may argue that English is the dominant language of America so therefore it should be the official language I have to disagree with this I understand that living in America does require someone to know at least a small amount of English in order to get by on a daily basis, but that is the case for any country you live it because there will always be one language that is more dominant than the others I like to try to envision myself in someone's shoes who does not speak English If you have even studied a foreign language in school, you know how difficult it is to learn a new language I myself have studied other languages and it was very difficult, and i can't even imagine how hard English must be to learn, espcially with all our grammatical rules

When it comes down to language, America does not need one language to be the official one It really serves no purpose because America will still be a diverse country with people who speak different languages
