other的用法

other的意思是：其他的,形容词,做定语修饰名词,放在名词前,定语就是用来限定限制那个名词

the other,可以作主语：其他的,另一个,也可以做定语放在名词前,意思一样,但是这几个词中凡是前面加定冠词the的都是有范围的,比如那群人中等等主要词组:onethe other 就是：一个……另一个……的意思,举个例子：

其实other跟others之间,the other和the others之间区别是一样的,加S的都是省略了后面的名词复数,完全可以通过加不加名词复数替换,除非the other是之一指的是一个单数

但是要注意的是如果the前面有形容词性物主代词(my,your,his,her,its,ours,theirs就是"某某的"的意思,形容词,同上作定语修饰名词)就要略去the因为形容词性物主代词已经限定了一个范围了不用再特指,这一点在所有句中都一样,比如：One of my friends likes singing and my other friends all like dancing我的朋友其中一个喜欢唱歌,我其他的朋友都喜欢跳舞

不过other和others与加the的两个区别是用在没有特指范围也就是泛指的 句子 里,就是因为没有范围不是特指所以other一定后加名词复数,关于具体什么是泛指前面解释过,the other是特指就单复数都有可能了,但the others省略的肯定是名词复数other和others形容词性作定语时含义都是一样的,就是加s的省略了个名词复数另外others可以作名词表示他人例如：

We should respect others我们应该尊重他人

another也作形容词,用法同上,意思是另一个,再一个,又一个,后面加名词单数,还可以作代词,实际意义上代词也算是名词,代词就是用来指代的词,比如你我他它她
